Consequently, this helped us create one of our first ever products that put Eduworks Resources on the map (our resources for CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care). We believe our passion and experience in ECEC places us in a notable position to create relevant, compliant, and engaging resources for the upcoming update for ECEC.

At Eduworks Resources, ECEC Early Childhood Education and Care is very important. All the team involved in developing ECEC resources have history and experience in working in Early Childhood Education and Care. Our team’s experiences in ECEC ranges from running education centres, managing networks of education centres and running training organisations that delivered ECEC qualifications.
Kate Laferlita
Kate is our Learning Design Team Leader. She’s worked for ten years working in the Early Childhood Education Sector. This includes Managing a large Early Learning Centre and then moving on to Training and Assessing the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care at multiple TAFEs and RTOs. Kate then worked as a Vocational Placement Coordinator, building relationships with hundreds for Early Learning Centres and Kindergartens across Melbourne, placing students into these services to complete the Work Placement components of the course.
For the past eight years Kate has been developing Learning and Assessment Resources for ECEC to be used in multiple TAFEs and RTOs Australia wide. Throughout this time she has attended Professional Development Seminars and continued to liaise with industry experts to stay on top of emerging trends and best practices.
Stacey Peel
Stacey is our Client Relationship Manager. She began her career working for 17 years in the Early Childhood Education and Care industry. During this time she spent over ten years working for Knox City Council. Here she managed all six of their long day care, occasional care, and funded kindergarten centres. Stacey assisted in professional development, seminars, monthly training, and training for over 200 staff. As well as guiding students, liaising with TAFE’s universities, and mentoring. Stacey also worked with TRY Australia where she was a team leader/area manager of 40 kindergartens and childcare centres over Victoria and one centre in South Australia. She managed an internal team of seven, supporting all educators/staff with their services, and supporting and organising internal and external training.
Jacqui Hodge
Jacqui is our Director for Eduworks and the Principal Consultant for RTO Advice Group. Jacqui’s career began in the Early Childhood Sector where she worked for over 20 years. During her time working in the sector, Jacqui held various positions including Resourcing Manager for Community of Childcare Victoria, Children Services Coordinator for the City of Yarra and Managing director of OSH Concepts where she provided consultancy services for the school aged child care industry. In 1998 Jacqui Established her own RTO, CMC Training at Work, that saw over 5000 students graduate with early childhood qualifications. During the 10 years that she owned and operated the RTO, it developed a national reputation for the delivery of high quality flexible workplace based training. Jacqui and her RTO won a number of awards of their delivery including ‘2002 Winner Community Services and Health Industry Training Awards for innovation in Training and Assessment Product Development’, ‘ 2006 Winner Business Achievers Award – Quest (QLD) Community Newspapers’, ‘2007 Winner – Brisbane region of the Minister Awards for Excellence in the Employment and Training of Trainees’. As well as winning in 2007 five of ‘CMC’s school based trainees won an Australian Vocational Student Prize’.
Jacqui has also held several industry positions including:

2. Member of the National Workforce Development Research project for School Age Childcare sector 1996
3. Industry Representative for the development of quality indicators for school age childcare for the National Childcare Accreditation Council – 1997
4. Industry Representative for the development of childcare competency standards – 1999
5. Industry Reference Group Member for the review of the Community Services Training Package 02 moving to CHC08 ACPET representative
6. Chair of the National Out of School Hours Care Association – 1996
Shashi Hodge
Shashi is our Chief Executive Officer. She started her career in the VET sector in 2001 by helping Jacqui build an award-winning RTO with multi-jurisdictional presence across Australia. Shashi was responsible for overseeing the RTO’s operations across three interstate offices.
For the past eight years Kate has been developing Learning and Assessment Resources for ECEC to be used in multiple TAFEs and RTOs Australia wide. Michelle
Michelle is an Early Childhood Educator with over 16 years’ experience in service Leadership, Senior Management, Teaching, Assessing/Validating & Training, and has worked with organisations including, Semann & Slattery, G8 Education and Gowrie. She has a passion for building the capabilities of service leaders to create a culture of learning, reflection and growth resulting in leadership and educational excellence. She uses a strengths-based approach to support leaders and teams at any level to extend their skills and knowledge to become high-performing teams.
Michelle also has experience supporting Centre Managers to lead their services to exceed the NQF with an 80% track record as an Area Manager. Her unwavering enthusiasm and unique ability inspire innovation and critical thinking is proven to deliver high quality education and improved outcomes for children & families.
Sara
Sara has over 20 years of experience working within the early childhood field in one domain or another. She began with ten years in early childhood within various roles including director. Sara has worked in early intervention supporting development and disability service within a paediatric team. She has worked, assessing for ten years, and writing content for around ten years.
In addition, Sara is studying a Masters in play therapy. Supporting the biopsychosocial development of children within the psychopathology fields of therapy using play as the main medium for communication and interpretation of needs. Sara does this by using various play, trauma informed and attachment-based models.
Lastly, Sara has worked in schools and services around sustainability programs, and has provided professional development for early childhood and OSHC.
Renee
Renee began her Career in Early Childhood at the age of 18. She worked in Early Childhood services for seven years in Long day care, occasional care, kindergartens, nannying and agency work. Her experiences have taken her all over Victoria including corporate, private and hospital services. Renee’s roles have also varied from Lead Educator, Mentor and Management. She is still currently working in occasional care one day a week which she loves!
In 2012 Renee started her journey into the VET sector and is still loving it after eight years. Training and assessing both the Diploma and Certificate III In Early Childhood Education and Care. She has settled into the role of course coordinator, managing the classes, mentoring staff, and monitoring and developing the resources. Renee values understanding how students learn and use the content and resources they receive in order to be job ready.
The new resources are something we are extremely proud to be working on. We are motivated to bring our clients the highest quality resources when it comes to ECEC.
